Boeing has a fantastic, brand new program called FUTURE U. that inspires students to become future innovators. Students in grades 6-12 are ignited with STEM-focused resources and learn from real expert aerospace professionals about careers in the industry.
The FUTURE U. educational resources include the Innovating the Future Virtual Field Trip to Johnson Space Center, an accompanying VFT educator guide, and lesson plans. During the VFT, students will hear from Boeing employees who are launching the Starliner/CST-100 spacecraft and the deployment of the Space Launch System (SLS) both of which are part of the next chapter in space history. If you miss the premiere on April 9, the virtual field trip will be archived and available on demand at BoeingFUTUREU.com. Check back often as new content continues to launch including additional lesson plans and engaging 360° XR videos that will allow students to explore the Mars rover, how to grow plants in space, and see differences between the atmospheres of Mars and Earth.
I can’t wait to inspire my students to think big and imagine all of the possibilities of space travel with this new program. To be able to take them on location through the Innovating the Future Virtual Field Trip to see where real space engineering occurs and to have them hear from real-life rocket scientists is so exciting and I can’t wait to follow along with the Boeing FUTURE U. program!
What about your students? Are they inspired by the possibilities of space travel and what’s next for the future? Join the conversation online using #BoeingFUTUREU and #BoeingInspires.
